PATNA: Honeypreet Kaur, the controversial adopted daughter of disgraced Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, has now kept the Bihar police on their toes.
Reports said the police have intensified vigil along the porous Bihar-Nepal border in the light of inputs from the Haryana government that she could use that route to flee the country.
The union home ministry has already issued a ‘lookout notice’ against her.
In the light of intelligence, the police in Bihar have extensively checking all the vehicles on the border and have also put up her posters at the key locations to seek information about her.
At least seven districts of Bihar shares international border with Nepal.
“We have intensified vigil along the border after reports from the Haryan police that she could use this particular route to flee the country,” Bihar’s additional director general of police Sanjeev Kumar Singhal was quoted as saying in a local media on Saturday.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was sentenced to 20-year imprisonment by a CBI court last month in two separate rape cases.
