PATNA: At least, six people were killed in Bihar when a high tension live wire fell on them early Thursday morning.
The heart-rending incident took place at Mushari village in Muzaffarpur district. All the victims are members of the same family.
Police said the victims were asleep in their home when the live wire fell on them due to strong winds hitting the areas, killing all of them on the spot. The victims include two women and children.
The victims had come to attend the marriage in the house of Harishchandra Manjhi when the tragedy struck.
Angry villagers protested on the streets and blocked the Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga road. The local administration has announced compensation to the victim families.
