PATNA: In a huge setback to the Bihar government, the team of Gunniness Book of World Records has refused to cover the human chain programme.
The human chain is to be formed against dowry and child marriages on January 21 this time.
“We don’t have enough resources to cover the human chain being formed across the state and depute our team there. Hence we are unable to cover this programme,” the Gunniness Book team has communicated to the Bihar govt, as per media reports.
The reply came after the state government requested the Gunniness Book of World Records to sent its team to Bihar to cover the human chain.
As per govt assessment, the human chain this time could be 13,600 km-long, some 100 km longer than last year’s human chain.
Last year, the state had formed human chain against alcoholism.
