Gangsters loot Rs 6 million from bank’s cash van in Patna after killing two security guards

PATNA: Rampaging criminals today looted Rs 6 million from a bank’s cash van in Bihar after killing two security guards today, media reports said.

The incident took place at Bagha Tola village located under Belchhi police station in Barh sub-division of Patna district today.

Reports said the cash van carrying the money was on way to the local branch of the Punjab National Bank located at the village when eight miscreants riding on motorcycles tried to rob the cash.

On being opposed, the criminals opened fire on the guards and bank staffs, leaving two of them dead, reports said.

Senior police officials have rushed to the spot and are investigating the case.

Yesterday, the criminals had killed two Patna-based businessmen in Vaishali district while they were returning after collecting money from the clients.
