Gangsters loot Rs 45 lakh from cash van of nationalised bank in Bihar


PATNA: Rampaging criminals today looted Rs 45 lakhs (Rs 4.5 million) from the cash van of Allahabad Bank.

The incident took place near Neema village under Dhanarua block in Patna district.

Reports said the cash van carrying the said amount was on way to Patna when the criminals targeted it near Neema village along NH 83 and fled the scene after looting the case.

The criminals also looted the rifle of a security guard riding the cash van and also hot him. The criminals had come on three motorcycles, according to a report in the Hindustan Times.

The police are investigating the case.
