PATNA: Former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has accused ex assembly Speaker Udai Narayan Chaudhary and a local BJP leader Raushan Manjhi of hatching a political conspiracy to kill him during his visit to Dumaria in Gaya district last week.
“I apprehend a trio of local leaders had hatched a conspiracy for my killing. A local BJP leader Raushan Manjhi had constantly called on my mobile asking me to visit the spot on the fateful day,” Manjhi alleged today

“The BJP leader was directly involved in the conspiracy while Uday Narayan Chaudhary was behind the scene,” alleged Manjhi, seeking a CBI probe into the entire incident.
Manjhi who also happens to be the Hindustani Awam Morcha chief had gone to Dumaria block to meet the family members of a slain LJP leader Sudesh Paswan when the angry mob attacked his cavalcade forcing him to flee and take shelter in a CRPF camp.

The mob not only threw stones on his convoy but also set afire his convoy pilot vehicle, forcing him to beat a hasty retreat.
The victim LJP leader Sudesh Paswan accompanied with his cousin was campaigning for his wife Kumari Maya Rani, contesting the elections for the post of Mukhia, when the suspected Maoists fired at them, leaving them dead.
The attackers also torched three campaign vehicles of the victim whose wife is contesting the elections from Kanwar panchayat.
Before leaving the spot, the killers reportedly left behind a pamphlet which accused Paswan of being a “police informer”.
