This is the brief profile of a man from Bihar who has transformed many lives through his highly motivational speeches.
Meet Braj Kishor Gupta, a resident from Tarapur village in eastern Bihar’s Munger district, who has taken upon the task to fill happiness in the lives of common men. So far, he has imparted training to varieties of groups across the globe, telling them how they can end negativity and bring harmony in life.
Right now, he has emerged as one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country. His teaching is different: He never asks the masses to repent for his follies; rather he asserts every mistake is waiting to be a “Miracle”.
He is of the opinion that suffering, as such, is a blessing in disguise. “It is indeed a gift to humankind as suffering and pain break open the shell that contains wisdom. All we need to do is to channelize our highly charged emotion called suffering towards a larger goal. We must never forget that Light enters only through the wound!” he says.
His other powerful message is: ‘Each of us is a Budhoo (fool) but can become Buddha (wise man).” These highly motivational speeches are said to have transformed many lives, leaving him very high in demand not only in India but across the globe.
His “power of words” is underlined from the rare honour coming his ways: he was invited as Chair Person at 4th International Conference in Bangkok (on 11 Nov, 2016), Keynote Speaker in International Conference in Malaysia (on 9-10 March, 2016) and he delivered his Guest Lecture on Business Excellence at NHTV, Breda, the Netherlands.
But, do you know the story behind his transformation? According to him, he was subjected to humiliation just when he had spoken a grammatically incorrect sentence in the class.
“I also knows English,” was what a little Gupta enrolled in village government school had said when he heard two of his classmates from academically-conscious families chatting in English in the classroom.
“But what shocked me the most was the reaction of my class teacher. When in the evening, I went to my teacher and complained about my colleagues, he shouted at me saying ‘you are an idiot & will remain an idiot’. I was shell shocked but this humiliation became the turning point of his life,” reveals Gupta currently settled in Bangalore, referred to as “Silicon Valley of India”.
Gupta’s early life passed in penury. His parents crushed mustard seeds to earn their livelihood. They lived in a bazaar, as they had no land of their own. In the eyes of the society, they were of low caste, almost akin to untouchables. They suffered when it rained; they suffered when there was scorching heat. Suffering had become their fate.
All these factors apparently hugely impacted his life and inspired him to motivate others.
