A local court in Bihar today acquitted eight police officials, including a former inspector general of police Ram Chandra Khan, in Rs 4 million uniform scandal.
The accused persons were acquitted by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Thursday in a case pending in the court for the past three decades.

The CBI had registered the case in 1986 wherein the accused persons were charged with committing large-scale irregularities in purchase of uniforms for the police force.
The main accused Khan was then posted as additional IG in the police department. Later, he was also arrested in the case.
