Ex Bihar BJP chief wins confidence of Amit Sah, made in-charge of HP affairs
PATNA: Former Bihar BJP president Mangal Pandey was today appointed the party in-charge of Himachal Pradesh where state elections are due later this year.
The appointment was made by party chief Amit Sah.
Experts say Pandey has been rewarded for his brilliant political management during the recently held Uttar Pradesh assembly elections where the BJP got historic mandate.
During the UP polls, Pandey was made the in-charge of Awadh region where the BJP won 68 seats out of total 82.
Pandey was replaced by Nityanand Rai last year after the party suffered serious setbacks in October-November 2015 Bihar assembly elections.
