Eve-teasers told to apologise for their conduct for 15 days to get bail


PATNA: A local court in Bihar has granted bail to three eve-teasers on the condition that they apologise for their conduct every day for a fortnight.

Reports quoting local media said the Darbhanga district court has granted conditional bail to three persons, Hasmat Khan, Akbar and Afzal, charged with eve-teasing. All are currently lodged in Darbhanga jail.

As per the conditions set by the court, the accused persons will have to go to the victim girl and apologise for their conduct every day for a fortnight.

Apart from this, they will also have to clean the floor of the local school every day as a punishment for their crime.

The school administration has also been told to send daily reports to the court about whether the accused had obeyed the court order or not.

The victim girl was going to attend coaching when the accused took her to the nearby orchard and sexually harassed her, according to the complaint.

The incident had taken place at Ahiyari village in Darbhanga district last month after which a case was registered with the Kamtaul police station.
