Don’t make fee hike of more than 7 percent, Commissioner asks private schools in Patna


Divisional Commissioner, Patna, Anand Kishore has asked the private schools in the district not to make annual fee hike of more a seven percent.

The commissioner issued this instruction at a meeting of private schools held in Patna on Monday, media reports said on Monday.

The commissioner also warned all the private schools against selling books, copies and uniforms in schools and said the guardians must have the freedom to purchase these items from anywhere of their choice.

He also directed all schools to mention on their websites all the necessary details related to schools and asked for initiating proper steps with regards to safety of students.

He warned that the schools violating the instructions will be liable to face penalty up to Rs 100,000, as per the report.
