Kozhikode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked political parties across the nation not to consider Muslims as “vote banks or commodities”.
“Don’t think of them as vote banks or commodities, think of them as your own,” Modi said while addressing at the BJP’s National Council meet.

“The motto of our government is the same, ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. We want the most underprivileged to be the first one to progress in the country,” he said, suggesting for empowering the minority class.
The PM also laid stress on bringing reforms in the country’s electoral system and subtly hinted about conducting all the elections together to cut expenditures.
“There must be debates over electoral reforms to strengthen the roots of democracy,” he said.
