PATNA: RJD president Lalu Prasad today paid a surprise visit to Gandhi Maidan to hear noted spiritual leader Morari Bapu of his “Ram Katha” fame.
However, the faithfuls turning up in huge numbers to hear Bapu were startled to see Prasad in his different incarnation as he turned quite much philosophical in his speeches to thank the spiritual leader visiting Patna to deliver religious speeches.

“Whatever we all do have are simply due to the blessings of the God but we don’t even thank Him for this bounty,” Prasad told the audience adding most of the people join Ram Katha out of personal interests.
He said the proverbial ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ are located only here, and not in other world. “Swarg-narak sab yahin hai”.
He also made a subtle attack on the today’s variety of Godmen and warned against the “misuse of God’s names”.
Turning to Bapu, he said he had very old and cordial relations with him.
“I have been watching him for long in black ‘tika’ (dot on one’s forehead) and a black shawl on his shoulder. Perhaps, this is meant to detract ill-effects of evil eyes,” joked Prasad, leaving the audience in peals of laughter. Bapu too chuckled.
“Touch wood, may you remain healthy. Country needs you,” he wished.
He said the number of true saints is few and far between adding “I don’t visit to all of them.”
Bapu reciprocated by heaping praises on Prasad for his faith in God and then offered him a black shawl saying he was giving it because “Aapko kisi ki nazar na lage”.
