Denied leave, Indian soldier opens fire on unarmed colleagues, four dead

PATNA: A paramilitary soldier from country’s elite Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) today shod dead four of his colleagues apparently upset at not being granted leave.

The horrible incident took at Nabinagar power plant in Aurangabad district, some 180 km south of Patna, this afternoon.

Police said he was irritated at not being granted leave and in a fit of rage, opened fire on his colleagues from his service rifle, killing three of them on the spot while another jawna died in course of treatment at a local hospital.

The accused was soon over-powered and handed over to the police. Police are interrogating the accused who hails from Aligarh town in Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the accused fired 32 rounds before being overpowered by the cops. As per reports, he had just returned from two month yoga training camp and wanted leave to meet his family.
