#DelhiChokes: Bollywood expresses concern over pollution trouble in Indian capital

Mumbai/New Delhi: Bollywood celebrities on Sunday expressed serious concerns over rising pollution trouble in New Delhi.

“Sleeping open air at night staring at the endless Milky Way. Shaking Jamun trees for their fruit at India Gate. That was Delhi #DelhiChokes,” filmmaker Shekhar Kapur tweeted.

Popular anchor Raghu Ram posted: “Really hope the Delhi air situation gets better asap #DelhiChokes #DelhiPollution.”

Actress Sophie Choudry reacted to the situation, saying: “My view today! Delhi…this is insane!! Fight for ur right to breathe clean air! #MyRightToBreathe #DelhiSmog #delhipollution.”

In an attempt to tackle rising levels of air pollution and smog in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced several measures including ban of all construction works, demolition of buildings as well as use of generator sets for the next over a week.
