PATNA: The Congress party in Bihar has sought for removal of beacon lights from vehicles of ministers, legislators and others to end the VJP culture in the state.
The demand comes in the light of recent decision by the Congress-led Amarinder Singh government in Punjab to do away with the VIP culture.
“We too demand the end of VIP culture in Bihar as well on the pattern of Punjab government,” state Congress president Ashok Chaudhary said today.
Most of the leaders cutting across the political parties have supported the move.
“We support the demand. The government to take initiative to end VIP culture in Bihar as well,” a senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said today.
