New Delhi: Bharaitya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah and the Congress locked horns over Mahatma Gandhi on Saturday following Shah calling Gandhi a ‘chatur baniya’ according to media reports.
The BJP chief is in Chhattisgarh as part of his nationwide tour in preparation for the next round of elections in 2018 and 2019.

He made the remark in his address at Raipur on Friday, media reports said.
According to reports, Shah said that Mahatma Gandhi even contemplated dissolving the Congress post independence.
Meanwhile, the Congress had demanded an apology from the BJP chief for his remarks.
Congress MLA Randeep S Surjewala said that the BJP chief must apologise for insulting Mahatma Gandhi, according to media reports.
