Circus starts in two-day-old Nitish govt as Manjhi revolts over Paras’ induction
PATNA: Problem has begun in the two-day old government in Bihar with HAM leader and former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi questioning the induction of Pashupati Kumar Paras in the Nitish Kumar cabinet.
Paras who is younger brother of union minister and LJP chief Ram Villas Paswan is not a member of any House of Bihar legislature.
Manjhi’s grievance is that Paras was inducted despite his party having two members in the House while his party was ignored.
“I am surprised that that Paras mas been made the minister. I was told there is no vacancy but how Paras was made the minister?” asked Manjhi who is only MLA from his party.
“This is not fair. The rules and the principles apply to all, ” he rued.
Manjhi also accused Ram Vilas Paswan of being power hungry.
“The LJP chief’s political greed is not yet satisfied. He took his family to the Chief Minister’s residence and demanded a Cabinet berth. Is this the state of politics today?” Manjhi was quoted as telling news agency ANI.
