“I have not got any such application. Anyway, the investigation in this case is still on and we will not allow him to get out of the SIT,” Inspector General of Police, Patna, NH Khan told the media today.

The scandal involving many bigwigs had come to light in February last after which the chief minister cancelled the clerical examination being conducted by the BSSC and asked the DGP to investigate the case. It was then that the SIT was formed.

So far, 35 persons including the BSSC chairman Sudhir Kumar, IAS, and its secretary Parmeshwar Ram, have been arrested.

Quite many top politicians and bureaucrats are also said to be involved in the case although none have been interrogated so far. Unconfirmed reports said there are lots of pressures on the probe team.
