BSSC chairman’s relatives leaked question papers of recruitment test: Bihar police

PATNA: The Special Investigation Team probing the infamous Bihar question paper leak scandal today said the paper was leaked by the relatives of Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) chairman Sudhir Kumar.

Kumar, a senior IAS officer, has been arrested along with his five relatives in connection with the question paper leak. The arrested relatives include his brother, babhi and nephew.

“At least five relatives of Sudhir Kumar were appearing at the exam and the papers for the exam were leaked by them. The police have strong evidence of their involvement in the case,” Patna senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaj told a Press conference today.

“This obviously seems to be a case of connivance, and not neglect,” explained Maharaj who heads the SIT adding the chairman had a very key important role in conducting the exam.

Ashish Kumar, one of the arrested relatives of IAS officer, told newsmen at this Press conference he got the question paper of the exam from his “nana” (grand parents).

The test for recruiting thousands of clerks was conducted by the BSSC but it was cancelled by the state government later following reports of paper leak.

The police have already arrested the BSSC secretary Parmeshwar Ram in the connection.
