Addressing a joint press conference with Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi asserted that the BJP will be wiped out of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

He said that the fate of Delhi will be decided in these two states.

“I congratulate Mayawati ji and Akhilesh ji for forging this alliance in national interest. It was necessary in the backdrop of the situation in the country right now. Those who were slaves of British are in power right now,” he said.

Alleging that the CBI and ED were no longer agencies but “alliance partners” of the BJP, Tejashwi said that Lalu Prasad Yadav is in jail because Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who  saw him as “threat.”

He also alleged that the Prime Minister has not fulfilled even a single promise.

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav thanked Tejashwi for his support and added that the entire country except the BJP was celebrating the alliance between the two parties.

“Entire country is celebrating the alliance in Uttar Pradesh except the Bharatiya Janata Party. From Delhi to Kolkata, people are unhappy… they want the BJP out.” he said.

Reacting to the non-inclusion of Congress in the Uttar Pradesh alliance, he said the SP and the BSP were enough to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2019 General Elections, media reports said.

When asked about the Congress, which is with the RJD in Bihar, Tejashwi, who on Monday supported the SP-BSP alliance, cited recent by-polls successes to claim the two parties are enough to crush the saffron brigade.
