‘BJP wants to chew away Nitish Kumar’, warns RJD chief Lalu Prasad

PATNA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad has cautioned Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar against the big “political conspiracy” hatched by the BJP saying the latter wants to chew him away.

He said the BJP is working on twin strategy: First, it wants to cause split in the grand alliance by showing ‘greener pastures’ to Nitish Kumar and then eliminate him politically.

“BJP ki sajish hai ki ladao aur sabazbagh dikhao taki Nitish ko chaba jayen,” Lalu Prasad said in an interview to a private news channel today.

According to him, Nitish Kumar must be aware about this as “Nitish inko patal par se bhagaye huye hain (Nitish Kumar had earlier cancelled dinner organized in their honour).”

Prasad remarks assume significance in the light of reports that the JD-U wants to go back to its old ally, the BJPm although Kumar’s party has denied it.

The RJD chief also asserted he would not allow the grand alliance to disintegrate at his level.

“Nitish Kumar is the chief minister of grand alliance,” he affirmed.
