PATNA: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today gave a call for “Nitish Kumar-free Bihar” saying his continuance on the throne was not in the interest of the state.
“The policies of Nitish Kumar are beneficial neither for the politics not for the state’s development. It will be in the better interest of Bihar if it gets freed from this highly ambitious man,” Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Prem Kumar told the media today.
He alleged the chief minister has miserably failed to maintain and order situation in the state with criminal striking with ease at regular intervals.
“Nitish used to be a ‘model of governance and development’ while he headed the NDA government of which BJP was a part but post break-up, there has been all-round chaos across the state,” said Kumar.
The BJP’s call of ‘Nitish-mukt” (Nitish-free) Bihar is being termed as a move to counter Nitish’s slogan of “RSS-free India”.
