PATNA: Film actor and BJP MP from Patna Sahib in Bihar Shatrughan Sinha has questioned the “credibility” of Election Commission in view of reports of “faulty EVMs” being constantly found during the state elections.
Sinha who is not said to have good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the EC to take immediate step to “restore” people’s faith in the Election system in a series of tweets.
“General perception – faulty EVMs (electronic voting machines) in UP, Delhi, then MP & then again in UP. What’s happening? In the interest of fair, transparent & honest administration & elections, it is our national duty to restore the faith of the people in the election system,” Tweeted Sinha, more popular as Shotgun among his fans.
Must restore credibility of election system in Nation in general & GUJARAT in particular. Hope & pray that "faulty" EVMs or latest VV Pat system do not being any more bad name to us. Humble appeal to Election Commission to be extra careful & watchful in our own Gujarat. Jai Hind!

The open questioning of the EC’s “role” has come as major embarrassment to his party now battling hard to retain power in Gujarat which goes to polls next month.
This will be the first time in many years that Modi will not be the CM face of the BJP.
