PATNA: A young woman who was transfused HIV-infected blood in her body by her husband died at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) today.
The woman who was admitted to the PMCH on July 19 after her condition turned critical was being treated on the floor after being not allotted any bed.

“We have ordered an investigation into his death,” PMCH principal Dr SN Sinha told a local daily today.
The victim met her deadly end allegedly after her husband Sanjeet Kumar Jaiswal, a resident of Bairgania in Sitamarhi district, transfused HIV-infected blood into her body by deceit when she opposed his affairs with another girl.
As her condition worsened, he left his wife to her parents who later admitted her to a local hospital. After battling for weeks, she finally died a horrible death.
Police said they are conducting raids to nab the accused husband.
