Bihar topper scandal: Answer sheets of ‘fake’ topper Ruby Rai go missing from Board’s strong room

PATNA: The answer-sheets of ‘fake” Bihar intermediate board topper in arts stream Ruby Rai has gone missing from the board’s strong room.

Ruby’s copies were required to be sent to the forensic lab for her handwriting test but they were found missing from the strong room of Intermediate Council Board. She is currently in jail for her cheating charges.

Authorities apprehend this could have been done as part of the conspiracy to destroy the evidence now that the matter is being probed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The mater came to light after SIT sought her copies from the board office for required tests.

Finding the matter highly serious, the SIT has now sought a report from the board.

The board authorities have been asked to reply as to under what circumstances her copies went missing and who were the people in charge of strong room.

Officials believe Ruby only appeared at the test while her answer-sheets were changed somewhere.

It was Ruby whose botched interview to a TV news channel led to the unearthing of a mega scam which later came to be known as “Bihar topper scandal”.
