PATNA: The Bihar state government has dismissed four engineers on the charges of corruption.
All the four engineers arrested by the vigilance sleuths were accused of amassing huge wealth disproportionate to their known source of income.

The engineers who came into the firing line include Sanjay Kumar Singh (Samastipur), Pranvesh Singh (Begusarai), Ramadhar Ram (Siwan) and Surendra Prasad (Betia). All were posted as executive engineers in their respective districts.
The government has also announced to confiscate the property of four other government officials for amassing wealth through illegal means. They include Md Kamal Ashraf, Nageshwar Sharma, Bhart Purve and Jhakari Ram.
The economic offences unit (EOU) set up by Bihar government to deal with the cases of economic offences has registered cases against 39 corrupt officials so far for amassing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.
The ruling Nitish Kumar government in Bihar has announced Zero tolerance towards the corrupt officials.
