“If required, I could go to Delhi to meet Shahabuddin in Tihar jail although I have not decided yet,” Ghafoor told the media today.

Ghafoor had earlier gone to Siwan jail to meet Shahabuddin lodged there.
The issue kicked up storms he was caught on camera dining with Shahabuddin in the jail.
The story was first broken by a local journalist Rajdeo Ranjan who worked for a prominent Hindi daily Hindustan.
Many say it was this revelation which led to the killing of Ranjan in May last year in Siwan. This murder case is currently being probed by the CBI.
Supreme Court which ordered shifting of Shahabuddin to Tihar has described him a “history-sheeter” who can’t be corrected.
