PATNA: Police today arrested another former secretary of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) in connection with the Bihar toppers scandal earning global disgrace for the state.
Former secretary Sriniwas Chandra Tiwari was arrested after police found his alleged complicity in many illegal appointments in the board and his dubious role in granting affiliations to many colleges.

Tiwari was currently acting as the director of the midday meal scheme.
Last week, the police had arrested another former BSEB secretary Harihar Nath Jha in connection with the scam.
With Tiwari’s arrest, the total number of people arrested so far has gone up to 23.
Some of the prominent persons arrested in the case include former school board chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad, his wife and college principal Usha Sinha and Baccha Rai who is the principal of Vishun Rai College now in the eye of controversy.
