PATNA: Laddan Miyan, the main accused in the Bihar journalist Rajdeo Ranjan murder case surrendered in a local court today.
Laddan who is said to be a close aide of jailed RJD politician Mohammad Shahabuddin surrendered in the court of chief judicial magistrate, Siwan after which he was remanded to 14 day judicial custody.

Talking to the media in the court premises after his surrender, he denied his role in the murder case although he admitted he knows Rajdeo.
Police said he would take the accused on remand soon for interrogation.

His name came prominently in the case for the first time after the police arrested five criminals, including the main shooter Rohit Kumar, on May 25 last.
It was during the interrogation that the main shooter had revealed he was hired by Laddan Miyan to kill the journalist.

He also revealed the conspirator also gave him Rs 15,000 in cash as well as weapon to kill the journalist.
Rajdeo was shot dead by some motorcycle-borne criminals on May 13 while he was returning home after works in the evening.
