Curtain fell on the four-day-old drama when the youth put vermilion in the hair of the protesting girl, accepting her as his wife and the throwing a feats to the entire village.

Neetu Kumari had led a wedding procession to the house of her boy friend Dhananjay Paswan on March 1 after he refused to marry after months of love affairs.

Subsequently, she had been sitting on dharna at her boyfriend’s village located at Konaki in Shivasagar block of Rohtas district.

Such was the madness for marriage gripping the girl that she didn’t appear at the Matriculation examination which began on Wednesday.

Both had taken a vow to enter into love marriage but all of a sudden, the boy refused to marry her.

“Hearing this reply, the girl collected the local villagers and led a marriage procession to the house of the boy and sat before his house, demanding to solemnize the marriage,” witnesses said.

Reports said the boy family fled from the back door after the girl refused to move away from their front door and sat on dharna with her family members.

The girl is still sitting on dharna before the house of the boyfriend and has announced not to go until the marriage is solemnized.
