Reports said Priya Devi, wife of Ramdayal Prasad from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, was admitted to this clinic after she developed labour pain. On January 21, she delivered a baby boy.
“Suddenly we were told that the baby has died. We waited for the body but was handed over after two hours,” alleged Ram Awadh Prasad, victim’s grandfather.
He said initially they didn’t suspect any foul play and buried the baby. Somehow, he came to know that the doctor had removed kidney of the baby which led to his death, and registered a case with the local police.
Based on police complaint, a team of police reached Deoria and exhumed the body from the grave.
Reports said the police were surprised to see a stitching in the abdomen. The police have begun investigation into the case.
