PATNA: The state government in Bihar has decided to strictly enforce imposed ban on plying of 15-year-old vehicles in a bid to check the rising air pollution.
An announcement to this effect was made at a meeting held under the chairmanship of transport secretary Anupam Kumar on Thursday.

“At no cost we will allow the 15-year-old vehicles moving on the streets,” the secretary announced adding they would also ban the plying of vehicle running on kerosene.
According to officials, the pollution level in Patna, Muzaffarpur and Gaya remains quite alarming.
“In a bid to check air pollution, we will hold a camp to also check the pollution being caused by all the government vehicles,” the officials announced.
