‘Bhabhiji bahut acchhi hain,’ write thieves with lipstick before fleeing with valuables


PATNA: Bawdy thieves stole valuables, ate sweets and wrote words of praise with lipsticks on the mirror for the wife of house owner before fleeing the scene in Bihar.

The bizarre incident took place in Hanuman Nagar locality of Patna late Sunday night when the family of the house owner was away for celebrating Chhath, a prominent Hindu festival.

Police said the thieves entered the house of Paritosh Sinha late last night and collected valuables worth about Rs 50 lakh (Rs5 million) after searching every corners of the house.

Before fleeing the scene, however, the thieves also ate sweets kept in the fridge and then wrote something in praise of the house owner’s wife.

“Bhabhiji bahut acchhi hai…Bhagwan kare aapki manokamna puri ho (Bhabhiji, you are so good. May God fulfill your wishes),” the thieves wrote with pink lipstick on the mirror of the dressing table.

The family had gone to their ancestral village in Nalanda to celebrate Chhath when the thieves robbed their home. As per the report, they stole away property and valuables worth around Rs 50 lakh.

Soon after getting the information, the family rushed to their home today and registered a case with the police. The police are investigating the case.
