Reports said a group of people was waiting outside the nomination centre to file their papers on Monday noon when someone hit a nearby beehive with a stone.

Within no time, the angry bees flew out of their homes and began attacking the crowd of people waiting to file nomination papers, causing a virtual stampede among them.

Caught unawares by the sudden attacks, the people began fleeing here and there to save themselves as the bee chased and stung the fleeing crowd.

Reports said many saved themselves by covering their bodies with towels or sheltering inside a room.

Yet a few of them, such as Antu Ram and Jalalu Miyan, had to be admitted to the hospital after the stinging bee attacks.

“I had come here as a proposer of a candidate when the bees attacked me. They stung several parts of my body,” said Ajay Kumar, a local village.

Meanwhile the local administration has deployed a cop near the bee hive to ensure none could disturb them.
