PATNA: Angry students today barged into the office of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) and set the IT cell on fire, angry at admit cards not issued to them for Class 12 examinations.
Witnesses said the mob entered into the official premises shouting slogans as the officials on duty fled their chambers for safety.
Subsequently, they set the IT cell on fire, badly damaging several computers. The irate mob also damaged the biometric machine.
The fire could be extinguished only after the mob left the scene.
The students were angry at admit cards for the Class 122 examinations not being issued to them even though they were told to fill up examination forms online.
Not only that quite many of the admit cards were full of errors and the officials refusing to correct them, they alleged. Many of the students had their sex and subjects changed.
Last year, topper scam had rocked the BSEB, earning a very band name for Bihar.
