PATNA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad today hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he tried to strike an emotional bond with the people of two states in course of his election rallies.

“Punjab mein khoon ka beta aur UP men dattak putra! Ghazab hai re bhai…Itna mat hansao (He describes having blood relations with Punjab and projects himself as ‘adopted son’ of Uttar Pradesh at his elections rallies in two states. It’s really very strange which makes me laughs more),” the RJD chief tweeted today citing PM’s alleged remarks.

Prasad’s remarks drew bitter comments from people with majority of them commenting on his personal life and also using uncharitable words towards his sons, both ministers in the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar.

“अरे चचा @laluprasadrjd चारा चोर तुम हो, कॉमेडियन तुम हो, 2 बकलोल बेटें तुम्हारे है, फिर भी हंसी दूसरे पे आ रही है?” commented @Singh_svs.

The entire controversy got set off after the PM described himself as the “adopted son” of UP at his election rally yesterday.

“I am your adopted son. I promise not to leave my parents,” he was quoted as telling the masses at his election rally in Barabanki in UP on Thursday adding, “Jo khud ka beta nahin kar paya, wah god liya beta kar dikhayega”.
